Publication Ethics

Journal Gen Z is committed to ensuring high ethical standards of publication. The editorial board takes all necessary measures to prevent publication malpractice, including plagiarism, data falsification, and redundant publication. We strictly adhere to ethical guidelines regarding human participants in classroom experiments.

Duties of Authors & Consent

Authors must submit original work that has not been published elsewhere. In studies involving student participants, authors must state that necessary ethical clearance and participant consent (or parental consent for minors) were obtained. Plagiarism is strictly unacceptable.

Duties of Editors

Editors evaluate submissions based on their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, or citizenship of the authors. Strict confidentiality must be maintained regarding all submitted manuscripts.

Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers must assist editorial decision-making and provide constructive, objective feedback to improve the quality of the paper. Any conflict of interest must be disclosed, and materials reviewed must be treated confidentially.

Authors are invited to submit manuscripts online. Please adhere to the following template formatting guidelines to ensure speedier processing of your submission.

Important Check before Submission

All submissions must use the official Journal Gen Z Document Template. Submissions that do not align with the layout structure will be returned before entering peer review.

Manuscript Preparation

  1. Language: Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise English or Indonesian.
  2. Structure: Title Page, Abstract (max 250 words with 3-5 keywords), Introduction, Literature Review, Methods, Findings & Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgment, and References.
  3. References: Use Reference Management Tools (Zotero or Mendeley) following the APA 7th Edition style bibliography format.

Peer Review Process

Every submitted paper is subjected to a rigorous evaluation process to ensure scientific merit, originality, and clarity.

Initial Editorial Screening

The editors check plagiarism, scope matching, and adherence to author guidelines.

Double-Blind Peer Review

The manuscript is sent to at least two external reviewers. Authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other.

Editorial Decision

Based on recommendations, the editor makes a decision (Accept, Revision, or Reject).

Publication

Once accepted, the article goes through layout design and is assigned a DOI before final publishing online.

Digital Archiving Systems

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS systems to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.
